Moonlight
You hold me in your arms
And I feel safe from all the harm
You give me your coat when I am cold
And smell your cologne so bold
You hold my hand to comfort me
I look into your eyes and see
The whole Earth vanishing
Leaving just you and me
When we are together there is no one else
You are worth all the pain I have dealt
You are here with me
And you will never leave
For I watch for you by moonlight
Our forbidden love will hold tight
Until until you return to me by moonlight
Your eyes will twinkle bright
As you carry me by moonlight
A ribbon of red will hold my hair
Until I open my eyes and you are there
By moonlight
The moon will glisten bright
And you will hold me again
Tight and safe
In the moonlight.
